Start-up Visa Program (SUV)
Canada's Start-up Visa Program targets innovative entrepreneurs who can build businesses in Canada that are globally competitive and create jobs for Canadians. You need support from a designated organization (venture capital fund, angel investor group, or business incubator).

Eligibility Requirements
According to IRCC, you must meet all of the following requirements:
Qualifying Business
Each applicant must hold 10% or more of the voting rights in the business. Together, the applicants and the designated organization must hold more than 50% of the total voting rights. Up to 5 people can apply as owners of a qualifying business.
Letter of Support from Designated Organization
You must get a letter of support from a designated organization that has committed to your business idea. This is the core requirement — the organization must believe your business is viable and innovative.
Language Ability
Minimum CLB 5 in all four abilities (speaking, listening, reading, writing) in English or French. This is lower than Express Entry requirements.
Settlement Funds
You must have enough money to support yourself and your family when you arrive in Canada. The amount depends on your family size.
Types of Designated Organizations
You must get support from one of three types of designated organizations:

IRCC maintains a list of designated organizations on canada.ca. Only organizations on this list qualify.
How to Apply
Develop Your Business Idea
Create a compelling business plan for an innovative, scalable venture.
Pitch to Designated Organizations
Contact designated VCs, angel groups, or incubators and pitch your idea. You need their commitment.
Get Letter of Support
If accepted, the organization issues a Letter of Support and sends a Commitment Certificate to IRCC.
Take Language Test
Complete an approved language test (IELTS, CELPIP, TEF, TCF) achieving at least CLB 5.
Apply for Permanent Residence
Submit your PR application to IRCC with all supporting documents.
